Bio

Dj el Rey is Ralf Link from Braunschweig / Germany . With 14 years he began to play guitar. With 16 years he formed a punk band, which disintegrated 4 years later, because all members began to work and the spare time became too limited. Many years later, 1994, he found back to the music. The possibilities had changed and he learned computer-assisted composing. At about the same time he began to spin electronic music as NUKEM, but only in local Techno Clubs. At the end of 1999 he became again a turn. At a Trance - Festival (Shivamoon) he was inspired by Sun - Project (Trance Band) and he ascended on this course. The first Live - Acts followed around Hannover , still as NUKEM. At the beginning of 2002 he got a call from Switzerland or Italian Switzerland from the office of a Dj NUKEM. They requested him politely to add itself a new alias. If he should be active further as NUKEM, they would introduce legal steps. Thus he came to Dj el Rey. Some releases and Live - Acts alone and with a partner (Sebastian Schmidt aka S.A.O.M.) followed. In this year (2004) it was a little calm because of private reorientations . We will see what 2005 has to offer.
